Styling designed by Kiko Kostadinov Studio and the ASICS SportStyle development team. Soft textures are combined with the idea of handcrafted elements found in iconic works of art. Through matte color effects and washes, the design team was able to enhance the shape and structure of traditional running shoes.
In contrast to the grid-like patterns and bold opaque colors, variations inspired by functional utopias present a direct relationship to nature. These bright primary colors are combined with metallic structures that accentuate the materialization of the double-layer mesh.
The designers also analyzed the influences of Mino ceramics by investigating the contemporary processes of rust-like qualities that appear in the characteristic glazes of this technique. This process considers the designs as a vessel with gradient colors that have the ability to stand the test of time.
